Olena Volyanska and Oleksandr Biryukov at the IV Restructuring and Bankruptcy Forum
Olena Volyanska, a partner of the LCF Law Group, and Dr. Oleksandr Biryukov, Counsel, took part in the IV Restructuring and Bankruptcy Forum held on April 17, 2019 in Kyiv. The LCF Law Group traditionally supported the forum as a partner.
Partner Olena Volyanska made a presentation at the session “Bankruptcy of legal entities”. In her report Olena considered the procedural issues of property disputes in bankruptcy and noted that “the principle of concentration of all property disputes involving the debtor within the bankruptcy proceeding contributes to the protection of the parties and ensures proper control of the court in accordance with the procedure.”
Cousel Oleksandr Biryukov took part in the panel discussion devoted to the issues of bankruptcy of individuals. He noted that “the main outcome of the reform of bankruptcy law is the introduction of a bankruptcy system for an individual. The formation of a complete system of bankruptcy in the country is completed, and the next task is to begin to apply it as it is defined by the developers.”
