Maksym Sheverdin joined the discussion about standards for legal professions
Moving towards EU membership Ukraine harmonizes its legislation with the European one. Among many issues, it includes the area of standards for regulated professions. For legal professions, the issue of regulation is particularly relevant due to its social significance.
On March 30th, a roundtable meeting was held on this topic. In the discussion participated representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Labor Service of Ukraine, representatives of employers, trade unions, professional self-regulatory organizations, and other stakeholders of the qualification system.
Maksym Sheverdin, Partner of LCF, Head of WСС, Coordinator of the UBA Commission on Legal Education Improvement, joined the discussion. Maksym shared his expert opinion regarding the reform of the national classifier of professions. He emphasized that UBA is ready to participate in developing professional standards for lawyers.
