Yuliya Atamanova will participate in London International Dispute Week
During the approaching London International Dispute Week, on May 17th, Winston & Strawn and Fountain Court Chambers will hold a session: Claims arising from the war in Ukraine: the role of the English jurisdiction.
The purpose of the venue is to discuss and determine further actions of lawmakers and the legal community of Great Britain and Ukraine to simplify the implementation of decisions on recovery of compensation from russia for the damages caused.
Representatives of the English and Canadian parliaments, the ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain, the attorney general and royal attorneys of the United Kingdom, and representatives of law firms will participate in the discussion. Yuliya Atamanova, partner of LCF Law Group, head of international arbitration practice, is among the speakers.
Panelists will discuss the following:
– conformity of the decisions of the Ukrainian courts with the approaches of the English courts in the administration of justice and delivery of judgements;
– possibilities of improving court proceedings in disputes against russia before the Ukrainian courts with a view to ensuring the enforcement of Ukrainian court decisions in the English jurisdiction.
