Electronic Eurus

23.12.19

The picture is a fragment of the “Electronic Winds.” series (2015). The work is an example of New Media art and “computer painting” – a synthetic genre that combines classical art and new media technologies, computer graphics, animation, interactive art.

In his works Stepan makes experiments with space and creates a new environment. In the “Electronic Winds” series, the artist uses digital painting, combining it with classic techniques of composition, creating a large-scale and ambitious story about the world of virtual reality: «Each era offers its own themes to reflect on. In my opinion, digital art reflects the era in which the line between the real world and the virtual world is blurred. I found it interesting to transform ancient Greek mythology with its unique atmosphere into a virtual mythology and create portraits of some virtual winds that blow across modern times: the Electronic Zephyrus, Electronic Notus, Electronic Eurus and Electronic Boreas».
