    Recovery of damage from russian federation

    The military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine has become an unprecedented violation of international law. The aggressor state must bear responsibility for every act of terrorism, war crimes against humanity and genocide of the Ukrainian people. Russia must compensate for the damages incurred by the country, people and business. Compensation the businesses for damages will contribute to the economic recovery of our country and help rebuild modern and prosperous Ukraine!

    Potential options for recovery of business damages:

    1. Recovery in accordance with the decision of specially created national, interstate or international commission;
    2. individual claims to the russian federation for (i) recovery of damages by a decision of a Ukrainian court with its subsequent execution in a foreign jurisdiction or(ii) recovery of damages by a foreign court and with subsequent enforcement of the relevant award in foreign jurisdiction.;
    3. International investment arbitration
    4. Recourse to ECHR and\or the International Court of Justice.

    Regardless of the option that will be chosen for recovery of damages, it is necessary to record the event, document the fact of destruction or damages to property, provide documentary proof of property rights and conduct an assessment of damages and evaluation of lost profits.
