Olga Kostyshyna

Olga Kostyshyna is a leading arbitration and dispute resolution expert with a proven track record in international commercial and investment arbitration. Her practice focuses on advising clients on arbitration-related risks and managing cross-border litigation. She also has experience in advising clients in sports disputes.

Prior to joining LCF Law Group, Olga served as an advisor to the President of the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She advocates for innovation in dispute resolution and has played a significant role in modernizing arbitration procedures at the ICAC. This includes participating in the development of new arbitration rules and promoting hybrid dispute resolution mechanisms such as Med-Arb and Arb-Med-Arb. Olga has also been involved in the ICAC’s initiatives to foster international cooperation with leading arbitration institutions, including the SCC, VIAC, and CIETAC. Additionally, she has acted as a reporter in over 240 arbitration cases, ensuring procedural integrity and efficiency.

Olga spent over a decade at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, where she led the country’s legal defense in international disputes as Director of the Department of Representing State Interests in International and Foreign Courts. She has represented Ukraine in over 50 disputes and protect the State’s interests before ICSID, ICC, LCIA, SCC, PCA, VIAC, and ad hoc tribunals.

She has played a pivotal role in shaping Ukraine’s arbitration landscape, contributing to legislative reforms and representing Ukraine and the ICAC at UNCITRAL, contributing to discussions on online dispute resolution and investment arbitration reform. Olga was involved in negotiating key agreements with foreign investors in the field of hydrocarbon production, attracting EBRD funding, as well as bilateral investment agreements with Japan and Qatar.

She is a recognized thought leader in the field. In 2024 Olga was elected as a Member of the Board of Ukrainian Arbitration Association, Vice-Chair of the Arbitration Commission and Member of the Nomination Committee of ICC Ukraine.
